An athletics coach was summoned to the Cinnamon Gardens Police on Friday (02) to record a statement over his exposure of an alleged purchase of low-quality high jump landing mats by the Ministry of Sports. The summons follows a complaint lodged by a Sports Ministry official after coach Priyantha Tantrige took members of the media to the Torrington grounds in Colombo to highlight the issue, without permission.
