SJB MP Rohana Bandara has criticized the manner in which death certificates of those who died during the recent disaster situation were handed out in the Kandy district. Speaking in Parliament, he referred to a viral video showing officials calling out the names of the deceased and handing certificates to grieving families while photographs were taken. “Like a graduation or awards ceremony, the death certificate is handed over after calling out names.
