Sri Lanka rupee slightly weaker, bond yields steady

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee opened at 308.65/70 to the US dollar in the spot market Wednesday, weakening from 308.64/66 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields were broadly steady. A bond maturing on 15.12.2028 was quoted at 9.25/30 percent. A bond maturing on 15.10.2029 was quoted at 9.55/60 percent. A bond maturing on 15.03.2031 was quoted at 9.95/10.05 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2032 was quoted at 10.25/30 percent, up from 10.25/29 percent. A bond maturing on 01.11.2033 was quoted at 10.45/55 percent, from 10.48/52 percent.
