Several major rivers across Sri Lanka have reached flood and alert levels following heavy rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours, according to the Irrigation Department’s latest situation report issued at 9.30 pm on November 28. The Kelani Ganga has entered flood conditions at multiple monitoring stations. The Glencourse station has recorded major flood levels with the water level rising to 21.83 metres, while Hanwella and Kithulgala remain at minor flood levels.
