ECONOMYNEXT – Access roads to Sri Lanka’s main Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake have been affected by floods due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions across the country, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited said. It advised passengers to use the Colombo-Katunayake Express highway when travelling to the airport. to ensure a smoother and safer journey to BIA. “Additionally, to help reduce congestion within the airport premises during this period, passengers are kindly requested not to bring visitors to the terminal,” it urged in a statement.
