“We didn’t say 6% for education in the first year” – PM

Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya today refuted allegations that the government had claimed it would provide 06% to the Education Sector in its first year. Addressing the Parliament, PM Amarasuriya said that no such promise was made, as it was evident that new policies needed to be implemented to strengthen education institutions.  “We never said we would give 06% in the first year.
