An employee of a private security company has been arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000, promising a job at the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC). According to the Bribery Commission, the suspect had solicited a bribe of Rs. 50,000, promising to provide employment as an assistant in a fuel bowser truck. The suspect had accepted the bribe on two occassions, receiving Rs. 40,000 from the complainant and Rs. 10,000 from the complainant’s friend.
