Sri Lanka’s long-standing humanitarian leader Kushil Gunasekera has been honoured with the One World One Family Humanitarian Award 2025 at the One World One Family World Cultural Festival, in recognition of more than two decades of service dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities across the country. Gunasekera, founder of the Foundation of Goodness, was recognised for his sustained efforts in bridging the urban–rural divide through a holistic empowerment model that spans education, livelihoods, sports, women’s development and technology.
