Political interference in judicial matters: Opposition seeks urgent parliamentary inquiry

Opposition MP Dilith Jayaweera warned that Sri Lanka’s judicial independence is under threat, alleging increased political interference in the removal, transfer and promotion of judges following the current government’s assumption of power.
