Several areas in the Galle and Matara districts have been flooded due to ongoing adverse weather conditions. To ensure Advanced Level (A/L) students reach their examination centers without disruption, the army provided transport assistance this morning. In Neluwa town, a 150-meter section of the Neluwa–Dellawa road, submerged under about three feet of water, is being navigated with army trucks and tractors. Meanwhile, in the Akuressa area, a 200-meter section of the Akuressa–Siyambalagoda road is similarly flooded, with army Unibuffel vehicles deployed to facilitate safe passage.
