The overall rate of inflation, as measured by the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) on a year-on-year basis, has increased to 2.7% in October 2025. According to the Department of Census and Statistics, the figure is an increase from the 2.1% recorded in September this year. Food inflation has also increased to 4.1% in October, compared to the 3.8% reported in the previous month. Non-food inflation has also increased to 1.5% in October 2025, compared to the 0.7% recorded in September.
