Transport Minister Bimal Rathnayake says online payment of traffic spot fines will soon be available islandwide. “Traffic fines can now be paid online, and by December 31 we expect this facility to be accessible across the entire country,” the Minister said. “By mid-next year, we also aim to link this system to a driver demerit scheme through GovPay, introducing a comprehensive demerit system for motorists,” he said.
