The body of a Sri Lankan man fatally stabbed in Israel has been identified as K.K. Tharindu Shanaka, 38, a father of two from Batapola, Kondagala in Galle. He had arrived in Israel in September 2025 to work in the construction sector as a carpenter. Officials from the Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel had visited the Salameh Police Station in the Tel Aviv District on Thursday morning to meet with the police team leading the investigation.
