Investigations have been launched into the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Norochcholai Police Station, accused of having links with drug traffickers. The investigations come after several audio clips of the OIC conversing with various alleged drug lords were made public recently. Addressing the Parliament this week, Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekera said a probe will be conducted into the matter, after which necessary actions will be taken.
