The Chairman of the Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha, S.J.M. Jayaratne, has come under fire for berating a Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) female councillor, following the defeat of the local council’s budget yesterday. SJB councillor Nikini Ayodhya had filed a complaint with the Police following the incident.
