ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee opened at 304.50/60 to the US dollar in the spot market Wednesday from 304.20/35 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields were steady. A bond maturing on 01.05.2028 was quoted at 8.88/93 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 was quoted at 9.40/43 percent. A bond maturing on 01.07.2030 was quoted at 9.65/69 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2032 was quoted flat at 10.25/30 percent. An auction of 77,000 million rupees Treasury bills was ongoing.
