At least six people have died in a series of road accidents reported across several areas on November 5, police said. In Peliyagoda, a jeep collided with a train at the Thorana Junction level crossing, killing the driver. The victim’s identity has not yet been confirmed. A motorcyclist died in Higurakgoda after losing control of his bike and veering off the road in the Pansalgodella area, police said.
