ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee weakened to 304.40/55 to the US dollar in the spot market Wednesday from 304.10/55 percent a day earlier, dealers said while longer term bond yields fell. The rupee has fallen 302.55/60 from the beginning of the month. Meanwhile longer tenor bond yields eased amid confidence on good fiscal performance. A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 closed at 8.20/28 percent down from 8.25/30 percent yesterday. A bond maturing on 15.09.2027 closed 8.75/83 percent down from 9.12/15 percent. A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 closed at 9.10/17 percent from 9.18/25 percent. A bond maturing on 15.02.2029 closed at 9.60/65…
