Police have seized two luxury buses allegedly owned by “Backhoe Saman,” also known as Nedungoda Nirmala Prasanna. One of the buses was reportedly purchased two weeks prior to his arrest. Police said both vehicles were registered under another individual’s name. One bus is operating on the Monaragala-Colombo route, while the other is being used for tourist transport. Backhoe Saman was one of the five Sri Lankan underworld figures arrested in Indonesia in August. His wife, was arrested after arriving in Sri Lanka shortly afterwards.
