The highest rainfall in the last 12 hours, ending at 06.00 am today, has been reported in the Baddegama area, recording 167 mm of rain. According to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), heavy rainfall has been reported in several areas during this period. The DMC says 132 mm of rain was recorded in the Walallawita area, 126.40 mm of rain in the Wathurawila area, and 108 mm of rain in Elpitiya.
