Four people were killed in separate fatal road accidents reported from Wennappuwa, Mahiyanganaya, Udawalawa, and Kabitigollewa on October 17, police said. In Wennappuwa, a 63-year-old motorcyclist from Koswatta died after his bike collided head-on with a van at Kirimatiyana Road. In Mahiyanganaya, an 85-year-old pedestrian from Divulapelessa died after being hit by a car at Thalangamuwa. In Udawalawa, a 46-year-old motorcyclist from Kolombageara died after colliding with a tractor on the Galkoriya Road.
