A new government initiative offering discounted air tickets for Sri Lankan migrant workers officially launched today at the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) in Narahenpita. The ticket counter was opened under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Arun Hemachandra. The program provides airline tickets at rates lower than those available in the open market. All migrant workers leaving for employment abroad, regardless of destination, are eligible to purchase these discounted tickets.
