The Sri Lanka Navy has recovered 51 floating packages containing a massive stock of illegal drugs off the southern coast, authorities said. The seized packages contained approximately 670 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ICE), 156 kilograms of heroin, and around 12 kilograms of hashish. The haul, weighing a total of 839 kilograms, was brought ashore at the Tangalle Fisheries Harbour for further investigation, the Navy said. Police and Navy teams are conducting a joint probe to determine the origin of the consignment.
