ECONOMYNEXT – Kapila C K Perera has been appointed secretary to Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development, the president’s media division said. Perera was previously the secretary to the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation. On Thursday, president Anura Dissanayake removed minister Bimal Rathnayake’s Ports and Civil Aviation portfolios in a cabinet ‘reshuffle’. Rathnayake was Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation. (Colombo/Oct11/2025)
