The former Acting Director General of the Office for Reparations has been arrested by the Bribery Commission over a suspected compensation fraud involving land owned by the Mahaweli Authority. According to the Bribery Commission, the accused currently serves as the Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Justice and was arrested this morning.
