The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has strongly objected to reported moves to compel the removal of car passes and permits affixed to the windscreens of motor vehicles, stressing that the BASL Lawyers’ Car Pass has been an essential security and identification measure for nearly three decades.
