ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka will provide the fertilizer subsidies to small and medium-scale tea estate owners through a QR code system from October 1, a government statement said. Beneficiaries can obtain the fertilizer from fertilizer companies registered with the National Fertilizer Secretariat, including the State Fertilizer Company by producing the QR code. A discount of 4,000 rupees will be provided for a 50 kg fertilizer bundle and 2,000 for a 25 kg fertilizer bundle.
