The Police said a 65-year-old woman from Angoda, under the Welikada Police Division, died on September 26 following an assault. Police investigations revealed that the suspect, a neighbour who was employed at the same cleaning service as the victim, attacked her with a weapon at her residence after a dispute. The woman was admitted to Mulleriyawa Hospital, where she later died. The suspect has been arrested, and Welikada Police are conducting further investigations.
