Former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara filed an anticipatory bail application before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today. Filing the anticipatory bail application, the former minister has sought to prevent his arrest by the Bribery Commission. After reviewing the petition, Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanka S. Bodaragama issued notice to the Director General of the Bribery Commission, named as the respondent, ordering him to present his submissions to the court. The Director General of the Bribery Commission has been ordered to present his submissions by 02nd October 2025.
