A Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Plant was inaugurated in the OPD area of the District General Hospital, Hambantota, during the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha’s recent visit to the Southern Province. According to the Indian High Commission, Santosh Jha paid a visit to the Southern Province of Sri Lanka on 24 and 25 September, during which the RO Water Plant was inaugurated. The plant, donated by the Government of India, is expected to benefit around 1000 people daily, including patients, visitors and hospital staff.
