The Inland Revenue Department has reminded all taxpayers to make their final income tax payments for the Year of Assessment 2024/2025 on or before September 30, 2025. The directive applies to individuals, companies, corporations, partnerships and other registered entities. According to the IRD, the final payment can be made through the Online Tax Payment Platform (OTPP) or at any branch of the Bank of Ceylon. The department has also urged taxpayers not to wait for physical paying-in slips, noting that delays or missed payments will attract interest and penalties.
