During a search operation carried out in the early hours of 06 Oct 25, the Sri Lanka Navy apprehended a suspect along with a dinghy and a consignment of 56,870 prescription drugs (capsules and tablets), spices and cosmetics being smuggled, in the Keeri beach area, Mannar. Remaining constantly vigilant, the Navy continues to conduct regular coastal patrols and search operations to prevent illegal activities, including smuggling attempts via sea routes.
